MOSES L. ROSENDIN COUNTY PARK Louis and Raymond Rosendin have donated this 116-acre parcel of land to Santa Clara County Parks & Recreation Department to honor the memory of their father Moses L. Rosendin. Moses L. Rosendin founded Rosendin Electric in 1919 after immigrating from Mexico and serving in the United States Navy during World War I. Rosendin Electric has grown from a modest start rewinding agricultural pump motors to become the eighth largest electrical contracting firm in the United States. Mr. Rosendin originally purchased the property with the hope of building his home on this site, which he visited frequently to enjoy its natural beauty. He passed away in 1959 before he could realize this hope. Mr. Rosendin had a reputation among his colleagues, employees and friends for modesty and concern for his community. Because of the family’s benevolence and vision, the land’s natural beauty and unique location are now preserved for future Santa Clara County generations. The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors gratefully acknowledges this generous gift to be know as the Moses L. Rosendin County Park. December 1993 Submitted by: Eric Goodill
