Birthplace of Andrew Johnson   Andrew Johnson, 17th president of the United States, was born in this house on December 29, 1808. At that time the house stood on Fayetteville Street.    In July 1904, it was purchased by the Colonial Dames and later presented to the City of Raleigh.   Submitted by Gilda Spitz.
