A plaque, at the lay-by close to the old entrance to the airport, marking the opening of the Sydenham bypass. It reads Sydenham bypass This road was opened by His Excellency the Governor of Northern Ireland the Lord Wakehurst KCMG [Link] 23rd November 1959".
