Pedestrian Patterns
Pedestrian Patterns
by Mark Salinas
Inspired by sneaker sole patterns, this mural illustrates our daily commute from bright busy days into peaceful quiet evenings. The image begins bold and colorful and then transitions, with the rise and descent of the bridge's architecture into a quiet and camouflaged design.
Presented The New York City Department of Transportation's Art Program, the Long Island City Partnerships, Citizen's Committee for New York City and 7Train Murals.
Special thanks to The Falchi Pudding, Re:Sources, Vanbarton Group LLC, Gm, Janovic Paint and Decorating Cerers, LaGuardia Community College and The International High School.
