Penarth: commemorating a swim

Erected in 2007 on the rear of the Pavilion building on Penarth pier, this plaque commemorates the 80th anniversary of the first swim across the Bristol Channel - from Penarth to Weston-super-Mare - by Miss Kathleen Thomas who lived in Penarth.
