The following text appears on the board: Bran & Sceloan by Michael Cooper The legend of the hounds of Fionn Mac Cumhaill These two Irish Wolfhounds were the companions of Fionn Mac Cumhaill, leader of the legendary Fianna. These mighty warriors had their home on the nearby Hill of Allen. Kildare was their hunting ground and they raced their chariots on the Curragh Plain. Fierce and faithful, renowned for their hunting skills, it was Bran and Sceolan who found Sadbh, the future wife of Fionn and they who rescued Oisin, Fionn's son, on the slopes of Ben Bulben.
