Plaque on the remains of the Potsford Gallows in Potsford Woods near to Wickham Market, Suffolk. Jonah Snell worked at Letheringham Mill, owned by the Bullard family. One day for reasons unknown he bludgeoned to death John Bullard and his son while they were working. When he was captured he was still carrying the murder weapon and was sentenced to death. Reports claim that he was dragged up to the gibbet on his back, giving the name Dragarse to the hill on which it stands. For a bit more info see Link and for a overall view of the remains see Link
