Plaque to Sir Frank Whittle

On the side of the house shown in SX6988 : Walland Hill. The plaque was provided by the Retired Chartered Engineers' Club of Exeter. Sir Frank Whittle, who invented the turbojet engine, lived here for 14 years. A list of memorials and other plaques is at Link , but does not include this one.
