Rev. John Boyce plaque, Donegal Town

It is located on the wall in the centre of the bridge over the River Eske The inscription includes the wording, "The Rev. John Boyce, D.D., A Native of this town, born 1810, died 1864. Author of "Sandy Maguire", "Mary Lee" and "The Spae Wife." It was here his boyhood days in pleasure passed away" In the background is the Methodist church
